Welcome to Church of Our Saviour. This official web site provides information to visitors and members about the happenings at God's church in Placerville, California.

Placerville is in the heart of the California Gold Rush, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Range. Gold was discovered in California at Coloma, 8 miles away. Coloma is the site of the Marshall Gold Discovery State Park.

We worship in the Anglican tradition, with our roots in English and Celtic mysticism, reaching back, beyond English Christianity, to the worship and traditions of Jesus' Apostles. We are open to the movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in our church. The via media, the middle way, informs our actions and practices.

In 2011, we will celebrate our sesquicentennial.

We are a welcoming community. All manner of people are welcome here. Please join us in our journey with God.

8 AM	Traditional Service (said service)
10:30 AM	Family Service (with choir)

Child Care is provided at the 10:30 service

Social Hour follows both services in the Parish Hall

Christian Education for All Ages:

Children's Bible School at 10:15 AM (St. Matthew room for younger children, St. John room for older children) [except in the summer]

Parish Forum at 9:30 (All Angels) -- Was America Founded As a Christian Nation? Participants will explore the question of whether America was founded as a Christian nation, examine the relationship between the religious views of the nation's founders and the instituting documents of the nation, and reflect on what difference it makes for the Christian citizen today.

Celtic Eucharist: Wednesdays at 6:00 PM

Morning Prayer: Tuesday through Friday at 8:45 AM

Driving Directions

East bound on Highway 50: turn left (north) on Highway 49 (Spring St.). After Spring St. curves right, at the intersection, turn right (Coloma St.). The church is at the bottom of Coloma St at 2979 Coloma St.

West bound on Highway 50: take the Coloma St exit. At the stop sign, the church is across the street.

South bound on Highway 49: Approaching Spring St., do not take the curve. Instead, stop to wait for traffic to clear, then proceed across the double yellow onto Coloma St. The church is at the bottom of Coloma St at 2979 Coloma St.

Parking is available behind the church.

The front door of the church as many steps. An alternative door is on the north side of the church accessable from the parking lot. Take the ramp to the right at the back of the church.

Overflow parking is available at the City of Placerville parking structure. A walk way connects the top level of the parking structure with the church location.
